As I said before, you should have a technician check your plumbing to make sure there are no leaks and that everything is running smoothly, to include faucets, which should not drip.
Turn of the tap when you brush your teeth, shave, or shampoo your hair and try to take showers instead of baths. Of course a bath is a great way to relax, but make it something special instead of a daily ritual, even for your kids. If you have small children, shower or bathe them together.
Adjust the water level of your washer to the load. The dishwasher is a more energy-efficient way of doing the dishes than hand washing them. Make sure you fill it up every time or adjust the water level on it.
When hand washing dishes, don't let the water run endlessly.
Consider installing toilets that have a water conservation system. They have a dual flush, and you can use more or less water each time, instead of wasting water.
All these tips should help you conserve water and reduce your water bill too! |
